Covid-19 Experience
Since the Covid 19 Coronavirus pandemic, the number of students learning online globally has increased nearly 10 folds. Similarly here in Nigeria, schools are physically closed to students and have moved to online classes to ensure that the education of their students continue.
ICT is highly valued at Almond College.The school management prepared the students for the innovative online experience even before COVID-19. The ICT laboratory is fully equipped with state of the art facilities. This is where the children are taught how to use Microsoft packages and apply ICT across the curriculum. For online classes, Google Suite was used. There were live assemblies on a daily basis which were therapeutic, inspirational and relevant. The timetable was comprehensive and comprised of 4 hour live classes daily. Also, there were online competitions, awards, debates, symposiums on trending topics like "Black Lives Matter" and “Say no to rape". The parents were supportive and 100% of the students were online. I thank God and appreciate the management of Almond College for providing a wonderful experience even during the pandemic. Almond we hail thee! God bless all the families of Almond College."
